Glass Fusing

Glass fusing - Glass melting or fusing

Glass transforming process, consisting in different methods, whose common characteristic is the use of higher temperatures for melting or deformation compatible glass.

One of the most used methods to deform the glass by the action of temperature is the thermoforming method or slumping based on the processing capacity of the glass by the effect of temperature increase, making it more fluid and becoming deformed by the action of gravity.

Another often used method is the lost wax glass melting, a method similar to that used in creating bronze sculptures where are used molds with forms previously created in wax.
